That is a pretty high ceiling- you must have an older style house then.

If you shop around, ply is available in 10' (3m) long sheets. This will save having to have a joint in the right hand panel if you were to use the commonly available 8' sheets.

It was finished in October 1873 -- I have the plasterer's signature and date on a blank plastered wall in my office.

Thanks Bob. There is a god old fashioned wood shop near me, a one man place; he can get anything and cut it to exact sizes. I wonder how much longer such wonderful places can exist in the face of B&Q, Wickes etc.
