Hello All

Just wanted to mention that I have just bought an Irwin pullsaw saw so I can practice cutting dovetails etc

I have been looking at various saws and the Japanese saws look fantastic but are out of my price range at the moment. I might upgrade at a later date if I think it's worth it.

That said for £14.50 delivered, I am extremely impressed with my first pullsaw (19tpi). It cuts very fast and very straight and feels really nice to use.

I would recommend it to anyone wanting to try this type is saw.

Thank you for the report!

Is that the tenon one? I'm looking at them on Amazon. May I ask what made you choose this one instead of the "un-backed" 14 tpi one?

Hello GM

I am an amateur woodworker and the saws I had were not cutting fine enough for what I wanted.

The one I bought was IRW10505163 and I bought it because I liked how handle sat lower than the blade and the five star reviews.

I wasn't sure how rigid the ones without a spine would be so plumbed for the one with a spine.

Hope that helps.

Must say, my dovetails are much better than when they started.

Cheers, John
