Hey all, there isn't a forum for introducing yourself anywhere so I'm hoping this is the right place for this kind of thing.

Nice to finally sign up and say hello to you all, my name is Stu! After a few long years of training, I'm just about fully qualified as a teacher up in Scotland. Its 'techy' I do, therefore I teach Woodwork, Metalwork, Mechanics, Pneumatics, Electronics, Design and Graphics to our teenagers of today! My woodworking skills are at a minimum compared to some of the guys on this site (VERY impressed after a wee bit of browsing) but I'm only young and practice makes perfect! My specialist subjects are Graphics and Design, particularly with CAD, Inventor and CAG software packages... I will be happy to share any knowledge I have back to you guys as I'm sure I will learn a lot back from signing up here.

If anyone has any questions then get fired in!

Cheers
Stu

Hi Stu

And welcome to the forum. You MUST be a student looking at the time you logged in  :D

You'll find that there are plenty of members way up there in the North.

Cheers

Roger

Stu - welcome from an ex-teacher (woodwork and Design/Tech  ) with 20 or so years at the 'chalk face' (do you still use chalk? :duno: ) I'm not sure whether to congratulate you on starting in the profession or offer sympathies...welcome to the forum anyway - Rob

My favourite teacher was the woodwork master, he gave me a piece of walnut once to make a photomount.(60 years ago)

I should think yours is a very friendly post position.

Hi Stu! How the heck do you manage to teach so much, surely just one of those subjects on its own is a big enough task?

Roy.
