Impact driver bits

Finding I am screwing a lot more often these days (and not always screwing up!) I bought an impact driver. Now I need some bits for it. I find I use a variety of fittings requiring slot, Philips, Pozidrive, hex and square bits and my ancient less-than-a-tenner-from-Wickes has probably long since past its best before date. Are any of the sets from the likes of Dewalt, Makita etc really any better than my old set? Also, I am puzzled as to why some sets labelled for impact drivers contain drill bits, flat blade bits even hole saw bits that I believe are applications not best suited to the impact driver? Any recommendations / suggestions please?

Scrub that, just unearthed a set that came with my Ryobi drivers that I popped on a shelf and forgot about.

I got some Irwin bits with a magazine recently and they are very good.
