Seen them on ebay for £80 (tool only). I already have 2 batteries and the charger from my cordless driver/drill. I'd need some spare batteries (which I'm having trouble finding) to split between the driver drill. impact driver and saw (if I get one).

Just wondered how useful cordless saws are? I've got a corded circular for roofing cuts and ripping 2" timber, just wondered if the smaller cordless ones are good for things like trimming doors and dimensioning sheet material (usually 3/4" max). Any info/advice from anyone would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yeah, I've spent quite a bit lately, started off with:

Makita BHP451SFE £290
Makita BHR200SAJ £240. Only used it once in 6 months though. Sold it on ebay for £242 :?
Hitachi C7U2. £50 bargain on ebay.
Makita 1923h £100. Worth every penny.
Makita BTD140Z £100.

My dad is VAT registered, so I get him to order the stuff for me so I get the VAT back, which is handy for beer :D

Think I'll get one with my chrimbo money, if I get any of course.

Colin: Thanks for the link mate, I'll definately be getting a couple of extra batteries very soon.

I wouldn't de without my cordless circ saw, my mains one seldom gets used now.

Ideal for cutting sheet materials into manageable sizes, trimming worktops prior to routing, plunge cutting for sink/hob cutouts. I can use mine one handed so good for vertical cuts as well up or down.

Mines just a 14V B&D when it expires I will get something better.
