Iain Banks - tragic news

I was saddened to read this morning that Iain Banks has terminal cancer and not expected to live much longer. Perhaps his most famous book is the Wasp Factory but I will always remember him for his fantastic Culture novels...written under Iain M Banks.

Totally agree, I cursed out loud when I heard the news on R4 today. I only recently finished reading The Hydrogen Sonata and am very sad that it will be the last culture book.

Loved the Ship name "Mistake Not ..."

Sad news indeed, my all time favourite author, with and without the 'M'
