Hi all

Quick note for all you EB HC260M planner thicknesser owners

I got one second hand over a year back and now I've come to the time to change the blades as I noticed they where looking a bit on the none sharp side.

So I get the spanners out remove the two blades and found that they are double sided ...... Bonus

So I quickly run indoors find the stack of manuals, final get the english one and look at the pretty picture on changing blades

one shows how to fit the blade and the others show setting ........... in both picture the blade is positioned differently .......so I quickly guess at which way to insert blade and get cracking on fitting them

End result I got it wrong and if I'd just stopped for a minute and thought about it it wouldn't have happened ..............

So back to sourcing some new blades

This is the first time I've seen a manual that contradict it's self .... most of the time they're just missing the odd detail or a bit vague

so if you've got one of these and haven't changed the blades .........beware
