Hi All

I've just gotten hold of a paint pressure pot which is tested to 2.3 bar, I want to do some wood stabilization in it, does anyone know what 2.3 bar equates to as far as mm of Mercury?

Thanks

Kevin

At sea level the standard is taken as 1 bar = 14.5037738 sq in.

2.3 X 14.5 = 33.35 lbs /sq in.

1 bar = 750.06 mmHg

2.3 bar = 1725.147 mmHg

(rounded)

If you have any conversions you want to do google is very good now. I just tryped in "bar to inches of mercury" and it gives you several links to choose from. The same if you want to find out how far it is from town A to town B. Or the time anywhere in the world.

From my time working with aircraft instrumentsI remember a bar being as near as damm it is 30", or 29.not very much to be more precise..

Hi All

1725. So that should be enough eh?

Once I get into the run of it I'll be open to doing it for others.

Many Thanks
