Hi,

I have a TDS6 Viceroy and have been learning to turn on it, which may have been a bit of an error given the difficulty getting bits for it.

Anyway, i appear to have broken the hand wheel fulcron bit holding the hand wheel to the tailstock by inadvertently over tightening it when locked down.

This obviously makes the handwheel spindle extension impossible so I am relying on moving the tailstock and locking.

I have searched for a new bit but thats proved useless and I don’t want to spend £300 for a new tailstock.

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Yes I am newbie so please be gentle!!

I’ve also attached a photo of a strange board which I assume gets installed at the rear to change speeds but i dont know?

You might find someone who could build up the broken part with weld and re-machine it. Presumably it's held in the collar with a circlip or similar and the break along the groove where the circlip fits is why it is detached.
