newbe here .came across this site while searching for machines.
i m a time served workshop joiner but been on sites and managing projects for over 30 years .
i also have a picture framing workshop that has the full kit but its more a hobby tbh.
building a new workshop atm approx 8 m x 4.5 m and looking for recommendations for a bandsaw and planner/thicknesser ,mostly for small scale projects like furniture repairs .
i would consider a multi machine but space might be an issue.
the record power stuff looks good but strangly they seem to be gradually discontinuing their lines with the planner the latest victim after their multi machine a while back.
any advice welcome

Welcome- had no issues with my r/p bs350 , went on to purchase a r/p Bm16 mortice machine. All my other machines are portable-dewalt tablesaw and makita planer and dust extraction due to small workshop ( converted bedroom) plenty of advice will come from other members who can help you further. Like a lot people new to woodworking it will always come down to what you intend to make and how much cash notes you have available
