I’ve been making a bulls lug of various small projects with wood for many years, but have more time on my hands now and looking forward to improving, well hopefully, even if I don’t I will always love the smell of fresh sawn timber

Welcome to the forum- your post takes me back to when I had my 1st experience working with wood - but not new wood as my paper round money didn’t go that far . I distinctly recall the smell of cutting into very old and seasoned timber and I think I became addicted then ( 1976) age 11
