Hi guys
I have managed to pick up an Elu Ebs 3501 type 1 bandsaw for the princely sum of £25.

Ive stripped and cleaned it and all seems good so far.

The problem I have though is that the bladecut height guard that winds up and down is very clunky. It looks like the adjuster knob that goes into the machine stops at a black plastic cog type wheel which is what winds the guard up and down. Mine has worn and some of the cog has broke off.

Ive rang a couple of the parts companies out there but they cannot work out which part it is on the schematic diagram. They suggested that i should seek help from you gents on your forum.

Can anyone shed any light on either its name/ part number or even better where i could get one?

Sincerest thanks for reading and your help
James

I believe it's 169 on the page below. It's not actually drawn but if you follow the dotted line from the guide assembly it's in the logical place and it's called a knob which makes sense.

It's a common failure as mine has stripped all the teeth and no longer works. I took mine out filled the remainder of the teeth off and just have a 13mm spanner local to the machine that I use to loosen/tighten the bolt when I want to adjust the guides.
