Help please I need a part machined

Hi, does anyone know where I could try to get a part machined for a Kity 636 p/t, The specific part that I'm after is the surface planer height adjuster rod, which has an M12 thread at one end, reducing to I think M8 the other. I could take the old part with me for comparison if anyone knows of a company that could make it. Hopefully west mids area.

That would be great, I could post the part to you to copy. It is approx 415mm long, m12 one end shouldering to M8. There is a spline for winding handle, but I don't think that is crucial to component, could probably go hex with lock nuts.

Well you are welcome to post it but a diagram will be fine

Make sure that it is M12 as most of the Kity planers use a metric trapizoidal thread form that has a 2.5mm pitch for the height adjustment. Though it may be square form, need to take a look to reemind me.

I've run an M12 nut down full thread length, perfect fit.

Just looked, you must have the newer one (2636), the old 636 had a vertical a 2.5mm pitch adjuster yours must be the horizontal.

If it is the new one why can't you get a spare from NMA?
