I would like to purchase a new hand saw I make small boxes mainly from oak and plywood which I veneer.
I have been using an Irwin double edged pull saw which I plan on keeping for cutting the plywood.
I was looking at the pair of Japanese pull saws on Rutlands site for about £50 but there is also the veritas western type dovetail saw for about the same money.
The oak I use is about 30mm x 10mm plywood is 6mm thick.
If anyone is interested these are the boxes that I make.
