Green timber treatment

I'm about to undertake a small project for the garden involving the use of freshly felled Oak & Ash.
With the weather as it is I was wondering what I could apply to the timber to slow the drying process as whilst I am expecting some warping & splitting at these temperatures disaster could strike with too rapid drying
