Gorilla hand cream

Has anyone tried this stuff? Amazon sell it for about £60 for 96g. It seems to have good reviews. I often get cracks beside the nail on both thumbs and they get really painful. It takes over a week for things like Savlon to effect a comfortable repair. So I was wondering about this Gorilla stuff.

I dont know about this cream but I use E45 wash, not the cream, instead of soap as soap is one of the worse things for drying out the skin, when my hands start to get sore and before they crack, I have contact dermatitis.

If they get too bad the quick cure is buy some cotton gloves from boots or an other chemists and then at night smother the affected area with Vaseline and put the gloves on. I have not had to do this for a few years but last time it cured the problem in one night.

It works very well but is too greasy to put on during the day if you need to use phone, computer etc so I just put it on at night. I suffer from the split thumbs, and also from very dry knuckles, for which I use this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Snowfire-216334 ... B001RYOOPA
I've tried a whole load of different creams over the years and these are the 2 that I have found the best

Well spotted PCB, yes I meant £6 (£60 - wow). Just another typo. I have just ordered some. Also one of the Trend mitre gauges (thanks for the thumbs up). Looks like they are all sold now.

Hospitals use a generic aqueous cream which is very effective on dry or split skin and typically consists of distilled water, white petroleum jelly, mineral oil, emulsifying wax and a preservative of some sort.

Google "aqueous cream" and you'll find that it's cheaply available from lots of places e.g.

Alternatively....
Hug a sheep, the lanolin works wonders!
