About 2 years ago I posted about my latest purchase, a tandem, so that my wife and I both in our late 70s could enjoy some of our fun days we had when we were in our teens. It didn't work.
She was very nervous each time we went out. We persevered but she was not happy so the tandem ended up in the garage.
Then about a month ago on the Welsh news there was an article about Disability Wales where able bodied people were taking handicapped folk with sight problems or amputees out on tandems.
They had at present got 3 but ideally could do with 17.
I emailed the presenter and donated our tandem which they picked up a few days later.
At least I know it has gone to a good cause and will be well used.
