Has anyone any idea how long a open flame gas fire or combi boiler would be on to use 127kWh? It's a long story and may involve legal proceedings so I can't say any more just yet.

You'd need to know the output in KWs of the boiler or fire to work it out.

Have a look on your boiler. It should say what output it is.

Mine is an old ideal boiler.
It says it uses between 11kwh and 18kwh input.
So between 11.5 hours and 7 hours buts working non stop which it doesn't.
It comes on for an hour until thermostat temp is reached then on and off when needed.
That's to heat a 4 bed house.
