Free anti virus

I used to use AVG, but had a glich and it let through so many nasties that I had to format the hard drive.

I use Avira now, and despite having teenage kids, I have not had a problem at all.

Working on the premise that they can find everything much, much, nastier than I can, everything works, so I can't complain.

Avira, if i remember correctly, was rated by PC pro best free AV software.

I've been using Avast and Superantispyware on both my desktop and laptop for some time and can heartily recommend them to anybody.
