finished potpuri bowl

After some advice I managed to make this today, I did plan to mimic one of the bowls that were posted yesterday (I did get permission ) I forgot to take the sketch so I ad-libbed and I am not overly happy with the shape but SWMBO does like it.

I am not sure of the wood I believe its Ash, any better/wiser offers about that? Finish with Melamine and carnauba wax. The picture shows a tool mark in the bottom half but it is not as obvious in the hand.

Looks good to me Steven. It does look like ash and it looks good if a little heavy towards the top, but it may just be the angle of the photo?

The size and shape of a pot-pourri is entirely up to what you think of the wood you have? Let the wood tell you?
