Just wondering what others use. The draws are birch ply and previously I have used Ronseal acrylic varnish but wondering if there are any good products for this. Needs to be hard waring but beauty is not essential as the front will be fixed to front afterwards.

Thanks

I saw in another thread mention of water base PU. I have seen it on the shelves but never tried it. Might it be suitable, what are it's pros and cons?

The Ronseal acrylic varnish you used previously was that water-based?

If so for this application it won't be much different to using a water-based poly.

Thanks. Yes the Ronseal was water based so sounds like best to stick with what I know if there is not much difference.
