Anybody else noticed the raft of Festool adds doing the rounds and the current pricing, can't see the stuff coming down to my DIY piggy bank level but it looks like it might be getting a little more realistic for the serious woody, bet there are some disgruntled recent purchasers around who missed out.

Richard at Axminster wrote this on one of the wanted threads:

"Hi Everyone,

Festool prices on our site have now been dropped as Festool no longer have a price policy. If you have purchased a Festool product from us in September and the price has now dropped we will be sending out Gift Vouchers to roughly the same value as a good will gesture.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Regards,

Richard"

Cheers

At least someones customer relations are on the ball, be interesting to see behind the sales trends and profits curves whether any increased turnover equates to similar profit margins.

My only current insight in trading statistics is from a totally different high street industry but it is fascinating who actually makes significant money out of shifting stuff around.

Believe this is the result of a German court case regarding uncompetitive practices ie price fixing. Nice to see the fall out so rapidly though not that my 36 quid for a 1/4" collett for my router doesn't still sting like ****!

I'd be a disgruntled purchaser.

But that's exactly the kind of thing that happens to me on a DAILY BASIS AAARRGGGGHHHH!!!

Hi,

Just further not on this... the gift vouchers are only being issued against power tool purchases and not accessories. Sorry if i caused any confusion!

Thanks,

Richard.

Well my local branch got in touch today and said "your domino is ready for collection, and also it worked out cheaper than we originally said, so I'm sure we can throw in a couple of extras for you"

Extras? What sort of extras? An overpriced baseball hat are you kidding me? I want cold hard cash my boy, served on an ice cold glass, preferably topped up with beer!

So far, so good. Been checking out the calibration and generally playing around making sawdust, which seems to be captured very efficiently by the extract system!
