Browsing through the Home supplement of the Sunday paper, my eye was caught by a couple of furniture items

http://www.coxandcox.co.uk/home/bed-bat ... ladder-new

http://www.coucoumanou.com/collections/ ... t-wardrobe

I mentioned them to my wife and asked her how much she thought they cost; she was well off the mark. I know that furniture retailers have to have a decent mark up but, for the materials and work involved in these two items, I still think they are expensive for what they are bearing in mind that the towel rack is left as raw wood and the wardrobe doesn’t seem that well finished inside to my eye. Hopefully, the guys who make the furniture get well paid for their efforts.

Any other views?

I think both vendors are selling image, style, and "a story" as well as furniture.

I doubt the people with saw and paintbrush see much of the money.

Coc & Cox looked cheap to me but probably imported tat.
Coucoumanou pricey but nice to see something different and colourful. Good luck to them I hope they get the price - then there's hope for us all (if we are making stuff that is)!
