Does anyone have any advice on what the difference between these? The sum total of my knowledge comes from the blurb in the Axminster catalogue (I only have Jap pattern) so I'm wondering why cabinetmakers might prefer English pattern....assuming of course that this isn't just sales twaddle! :?
Do they make a cleaner mortice?? Is there any real difference worth mentioning between the two types?
