Elektra Beckum HC260 Planer - Replacement flat pulley belt

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement flat pulley belt for my Elektra beckum HC260 planer. The belt is the one that powers the drive for the infeed and outfeed rollers. Its around 7.5inch in diameter and 24inch overall length.

The only source I can see online want around £20 +P&P for a replacement, which seems a bit of a rip-off.

Have a look at poly V belts and toothed timing belts. I have run this type of belts on their backs as replacement for flat belt drives with complete success.
Both belts come in a variety of widths and you should be able to find something to suit.

Bob - thanks I'll take a look at finding a suitable one. Creative idea as I hadn't thought of running a belt on its back.

Metric toothed belts come in 600mm and 635mm, imperial ones are 24"
One of those ought to do.
