Hi All,

I only have a very small workshop (a Shed) - on my bench I have my Hegner Scroll Saw, a space for a Sander (perhaps Santa will bring one) and my Bench Drill.

I am considering buying a Record Power DX1000 extractor (or something similar) and would like to have extraction on all of the equipment.

My idea, is to place a length of 100mm soil pipe along the back of my bench, I will then fix a number of strap on bosses to the pipe with home made blast gates on.
Each blast gate will then connect to the equipment with a flexible hose.

My original idea was just to use 40mm waste pipe with a T every so often (with home made blast gates) and a Fox F50-800-240 Wet & Dry Vacuum Extractor. A nice thing about the Fox extractor is that it has an auto start function / power take off.

A rough diagram is shown below - What do you think? - will it work? Any suggestions to improve?

Thanks Budwozza.
