Dovetail saw

Finished this weekend. 9" long, 14 ppi, 2 degree rake. Folded tapered spine and canted blade, 0.45mm thick. QS beech handle.

Very nice indeed. I rather like the look of the flush hamdle fixings. Can I ask what thickness of brass you use for the back ?

In real life the wood looks a bit more subdued. I choose this, because I wanted to make an authentic copy with folded spine, split nuts and beech handle.

The brass for the spine was 3 mm thick.

That's gorgeous - and probably exactly what many of the 150 year old saws we rave about looked like when they were brand spanking new.

If that saw works as well as it looks (and I don't doubt that it does) you'll never need another dovetail saw!
