DeWalt DW739 Variable Speed Bandsaw

Anyone used one of these? I need a new band saw, £300 ish max. Had two Fox ones and both failed

other suggestions welcome

Why dont you try doing a search for DW739 and DW738 which is basically the same machine you will get plenty of information

Yes I have one - what do you want to know?

For what I paid for it - I can't fault it. With a good blade from Ian and some fettling - there shouldn't be any problems.

If you are wanting to resaw 6" hardwood - it's probably on the under-powered side. Softwood - you'd get away with it now and then, assuming you weren't in a rush.

For £300 I'd probably be looking at something else, preferably used and with some grunt!
