DeWalt 745 Set up? HELP required PLEASE!

I seem to have 3 x small plates (each with 2 holes) that were in the fence packet, but are nowhere to be found in the manual!!!
Could anyone tell me where they go?

I do not usually have this sort of problem, but seem to have missed something?

We just received a 745 De Walt portable saw.

Help would really be appreciated,

Sorry not that familiar with the saw although I have used one in passing several months ago

They look like shims/packers to me possibly to square the fence rail to the table or the fence itself to the blade
