My dust that I'm creating is getting a bit much now in my tiny 7x7 shed and am after a small desktop extractor I can use while I use my power carver.

I've seen a number of models available in the states but no one seems to do them in the UK.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Have a look at this Post the-cost-of-clean-air-t92504.html

I have one of these and when it's not hooked up over the bench, it is sitting on the bench where I do hand sanding. It is really excellent.

I read the post above and it dies look like a nice fan. But I wonder how much it costs as the op did say it wasn't cheap. Health has no price tag, but a pocket can seem very empty at times.

This got me wondering how hard it would be to make your own panel filter? And how effective it would be?

Check out this post Mark showing my diy air filter using an old cooker hood fan......cheap and cheerful and does the job pretty well, In an ideal world we would all have the Pro workshop stuff but when you are also paying for work done on your home (roof) sometimes its cheaper to have a go at making one until ya win the lotto
