Dating a Stanley 53 Spokeshave

I have a spokeshave which I'm trying to date, but the info. I can find on Stanley Spokeshaves is rather limited.
It is the same as this example:

Possibly, it's a 'Type 2', made between 1913-19. The tool's provenance would support this.
The blade is marked:
STANLEY
New Britain
CONN
USA

No other markings except 'No 53' on the body.

Any ideas?

Stanley trade marks and their logo layout seems to have a pattern to it.

Try this site which allows you to compare the markings on the blade. If you presume that it is the original blade, then you can date the tool to within a few years of manufacture.

Of course if you want to date Stanley he might not be available ...

Thanks Argus, the blade marking is exactly like TmV; 1912-18, which fits in with my earlier thoughts.
