Hi peeps

We managed to bag a bargain priced Cuprinol sprayer last summer from a garden centre, brand new unopened box.... £7..! and just wondered if anybody has used this stuff, and in what way is it different to 'normal' fence/shed treatments.? and can you use normal fence treatments with it...

I have a fence sprayer but not that make. The stuff you brush on tends to be too thick, so best to get the correct type for spraying. Biggest thing to be aware of is overspray, on the widows, washing so on. The wind will carry it quite distance. But does the job and saves some time.

When I worked for a wholesale company suppliying garden centres we used to get several cuprinol sprayers back as faulty, but they were not just not cleaned out from last use. we found that hot soapy water would clean them (the cuprinol sprayable fence treatment was water based IIRC) this meant that virtually everyone in our company had a sprayer!!

dont know about using different liquids in them but I presume as long as they are water based (and you wash the sprayer afterwards!!) there shouldnt be a problem.

I did try an ordinary garden sprayer with the "good" cuprinol stuff (in rectangular tins) and it did seem to affect the seals, so.....
