Seen a good video on the Bosch GSR 108 L 10.8 cordless driver/drill, although it's difficult to see the cost between the product, plus the charger, plus spare battery or not?

Is there anything similar to compare with this product that I should consider? Not higher in price though, its only for hobby use. Also 50pc off in sale of the Bosch today and tomorrow, so advice soon please

Thanks

Alex

Hope you all had a great day yesterday. Me, I'm fat and full.

Can't help on the price- although the bundles are generally cheaper than buying separately.

I have the previous version of the gsr10.8 and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one. I got drill, charger and a couple of batteries with mine and it is ideal. You can also- if you choose at a later date to buy other "naked" tools- you will already have the batteries and charger to share.

Thanks marcros. It sounds good and the video is excellent.

Just ordered driver/drill one battery and charger £84.99, which I think is a good deal.

I went with the Bosch 10.8v as opposed to the Makita or DW set, and have never regretted it. Having used friends and colleagues 10.8v's from these, and others manufacturers I would say the Bosch blue stuff tops the pile. Only my opinion though, so...

I also have the Impact driver, as well as Hilti and DW versions in 18v, and it fares amazingly well against them. 99% of jobs are suitable for the Bosch. Only very large/long screws and bolts will defeat it.

Was that the two piece drill and impact driver set?

A little late but ITS have got the 10.8v Hitachi drill with 2 batteries for £45 and the Bosch 18v with 2 batteries for £100, both Li-Ion. Sale ends 31st.

Thanks, but it's to late now. As it's just for home use, I only needed one battery.
