Hi all,
I've just spent the last three days in "some discomfort" after taking a small chunk out of my cornea on Monday whilst sitting in my sanitary, air conditioned, office. I have had various examinations, eye drops and a very uncomfortable eye patch but am lucky to have no permanent damage.
It seems after turning a lump of briar root I managed to get a chip under my lens during the day!!!! The only way this could have happened is that it was "lurking" in my lashes or eye brows, went into my eye and I rubbed it instinctively. I should add I showered twice between turning and incident.
The point is this would not have happened without contact lenses so I would like to say "wearers beware!".
