Hello Forum ,

Have a couple of projects on the go and was wondering if I need to keep pieces clamped for the full 24 hours which the evo stik wood glue takes to set or can i release the clamps earlier and use them for another project.

Thanks alot .

Paul - now that the warmer weather  has finally appeared cramps can be kept on a glued up job for a shorter length of time, maybe 1 hour max, as the 'grab time' in warm weather is much less. However full bond strength will still take some time to develop. The downside is that using PVA in warmer weather gives you a much shorter time window (the 'open time') to assemble the job into cramps before it starts to go off.....can't win really  - Rob
