I have had 3 or 4 of these blue pallets kicking around in the yard for a while, don't know which company left them. As I understand it they are not my property but what am I supposed to do with them? Is there some firm that collects them or a phone number to call? I have googled it but didn't really find an answer.

Thought some of the pallet experts on here might be able to point me in the right direction before I get fed up of the sight of them and they go on the wood burner.

Please don't suggest making them in to a coffee table!

Thanks, Doug

Contact Chep and ask them to pick them up. Do it by email, then you have a record.

Why dont you upcycle them, they would lovely coffee tables :D

Thanks Robin, I was thinking of upcycling them into an orangery or something, what do you reckon, can't be that difficult?

Offer them on here. Seems that some on the forum would be able to make fine furniture from them using just one plane, half a chisel and a stick ruler - then sell the product to some Upmarket West End store or online

There's a "request pallet pick up" button here :

They can be a bit hit and miss with collections in our experience - sometimes they'll send a 40' truck to pick up a couple of pallets, sometimes they'll take weeks and weeks to get around to it, then send a transit.
Whatever you do, dont discard them - they'll charge you £22 each if they think you've 'lost' some of their pallets.

If you do stick them in the wood burner be prepared for lovely green flames. Nice to look at but I cant imagine it will do the environment or you much good.

Our stores notify them we have some pallets for collection and give them 10 days to collect. I've seen many go in the skip, shame really, they're a lovely colour blue.
