As title is there any Charnwood W824 users on here am looking for opinions.

not yet, but i will be during the first quarter of next year, i have looked at it in great detail and compared it very closely to similar models from the likes of record and axi, and from what i can see the specs are very good and at a very competitive price, and has some features as standard that are not found on the other models,

Looks to be very similar to the Axminster vari speed one !! But has a speed display!

yes it is, but it also comes with a 24 point indexing, and the axi is aftermarket, it is these slight differences that make it stand out to me, when i get mine i will just get the lathe and ext bed, and get the rutlands xact 4" scroll chuck kit, which also looks really good value for money,
