I have made many carbide to tools and have modified the Turnmaster too. If you type carbide cutters in the search panel at the top of this page you will find helpful and informative threads.

This link may be helpful in explaining the differences between carbide cutters

I would not recommend you trying the Sorby bullet type cutters.

Hi Chipmunk,

No, I have no wish to elaborate but thank you for correcting the impression I may have given that Sorby tips are carbide.
