Hi all,
I am making some cabinets for our kitchen and the Mrs. really doesn't like the normal spring loaded hinges usually used in kitchens.
Can anyone suggest a good alternative? All I keep coming back to is a pair of 2" brass butt hinges and some kind of magnetic or ball catch.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Nick

What is it about normal kitchen hinges she doesn't like? There are several better manufacturers whom make hinges with soft close and other features.

Its the bulkiness on the inside and the fact that her grandma and aunt had some which kept slipping so the door never fitted properly.

I have pointed out that they were screwed into probably 25 year old chipboard and ours would be in solid english ash, but she's a hard woman to get round!
