Hi,

Having had a lot of fun turning a few candle stick holders and even a goblet with just the basics on my Record RPML 300 mini lathe I'm keen to get a chuck for doing some bowl turning. There seem to be a great number of options available for these and I'm not too sure where to begin...

Is there a reasonably priced, easy to use chuck that I should be considering?

Should I just start with a wood-screw type chuck or go all out and get something like this: http://www.recordpower-thetoolshop.com/ ... _x_16.html

Many thanks

I've got a 3/4 x 16 faceplate/screwchuck if you want it for the cost of postage. If not I'll pop it in the for sale section.
