Not been in the workshop for over 2 months :(

But today I had an itch that needed scratching , so off I went

Found a chunk of Acacia , cut off the uneven ends on the band saw

Just come up for a brew , my lungs feel a bit tight already :?

and one on the other side

IMG_1983.jpg

Hollowed to 8" so far with a Roll M hollower

some " rustic features "

IMG_1985.jpg

and lots more on the base :D , will see how it progresses

Will leave it a few days to dry further

Thats all for now

Hi Pete

So you made it to NZ :D

~Do tell us how you are getting on ( maybe some photos ? )

Re the turning , The log was badly split to start with , since turning its not " yet " got any worse , I have kept the wall thickness even down to the base

I am quite expecting it to do things " as they do :) " will be annoying if the knots fall out

Time will tell
