Hi chaps,
I bought a Makita BO6050J just under a month ago. Used it lightly a few times, but this afternoon was the first proper test sanding paint off my garage fascia boards. About 30 minutes in it made a horrible mechanical crunching noise and forced rotation mode suddenly stopped working. For an apparently industrial tool costing as much as this did to break in half an hour is very disappointing.
As it's within 30 days I'll see if the retailer will exchange it for something else or issue a refund.
A Festool Rotex is out of my budget so the only other option is the Bosch.

Any thoughts on this particular sander compared to the Makita or Festool?
