Rather than continue to pollute another thread I thought I start a new one to ask if these bits are likely to be of interest to anyone, or whether they are classed as 'skipfill'. I cannot see me buying a brace to use them, or having the patience to sharpen them.

they may well be. I bought a brace a while ago, just for some quiet cordless drilling. On biggish holes with an augur bit, it was much quicker and easier than using my cordless drill. So I imagine that somebody may have a use for them.

They all look like perfectly usable and useful tools to me.
I'd send you a spare brace if I thought you'd use it!

Thank you, that is a very kind thought and part of me wants to accept if only to for the experience. Electricity-free fettling has a definite appeal.

Realistically, however, I do not drill many holes larger than about 12mm and I am probably too lazy/inept to keep the bits properly sharpened. So I will pass on your offer. I was thinking more of donating the bits to someone who would use and appreciate them, ideally someone to whom they would make a difference.
