Hi all, your thoughts please I've been asked to make a set of bi-fold doors (4 Leaves) and frame,
they will be painted so what timber to use?
Needs to be stable and durable, I would really like your valued opinions. Is Accoya an option or perhaps Idigbo or Sapele.
Also best track to use.
I look forward to any opinions and past experiences please.

All the best, John

Timber options:

accoya, iroko, red grandis

Idigbo, not so keen

Sapele -ok but no more stable than iroko and less durable

avoid softwood, too much movement.

tracks:
Brio uk
Centor
tommafold
henderson

We use Brio
