Hi
just got a scheppach little table saw, first one was replaced because the cable had been damaged in packing, second one has arrived. and appears to be ideal for what I want - BUT - I can't change the blade, following instruction book using the two spanners provided and turning in the direction instructed I cannot get it to budge, had an engineer friend give it a go, and he can't budge it either.
Does anyone have any suggestions? really don't want to have to return another one, but do want to change the blade for a finer one :(
regards
Gill

To undo it should be the same way as if you were tightening something up. One spanner needs to be resting against the table top then hit the other spanner with a large hammer in a clockwise direction.

hi Wizard
Thanks for that, with it being only little there isn't really enough room to get a good purchase/swing and can't really get the locking spanner properly wedged :(
been having fun chopping up bits of wood, and found out it will cut nice mitres when blade is set at 43 degrees  but edges all a bit scraggy, would be lovely with finer blade. Got some lovely wood ready to turn into little boxes, but don't want to mash it up
Really depressed at the thought of having to get in touch with seller again

Can you take a picture? Is it easier to jam a piece of wood onto the teeth to stop the blade moving and use just one spanner?

Thanks so much for your help guys - spoke to FFX today and they got in touch with scheppach, who phoned me right back so nice to get such good aftersales service :)
In short the guy at scheppach suggested the block of wood technique, and with a 'proper' spanner it was ridiculously easy - blade is changed and cutting beautifully now =D>
