I have just purchased a Nore YK1500 (was also sold by Luna) Stroke sander.

A relatively small machine but proving to be a good bit of kit so far anyway.

It came with some paper backed belts but they are not lasting doing what I am doing and I need some fabric backed belts any suggestions on the best and most affordable place to get them from?

The belt size is 4160mm long x 150mm wide

I expect they will need to be made to order, min order of 10 usually per grit size

try finishing components

Try BND

I've had good service from them and the on site belt selection and sizing allows comparison of various weights of fabric, grit types etc.

BND was on my hit list thanks for the recommendation.

Finishing components don't seem to have a website but I will give them a call.

Thanks for that :)

Finishing components dont have a website, they supply to the trade and are dealers for mirka, hermes etc.

You probably want their cloth, anti static belts

I buy wide belts from them (2250 x 1100) from memory about £16+vat each

I've made my own belts before now when I couldnt get the grit size i wanted.
Lots of tube videos on how to.

what are you doing that snaps the belts? [very unusual]
On this type of machine, using the machine as intended, paper should be perfectly adequate.
Cheers

Wax candle rubbed on the back on the paper and pad help make the job more pleasant and makes the belts last longer (imho).

The tracking on the machine is tricky it runs fine when not under load but when sanding on occasion it will run to the front of the drums and then tears the belts, when paying attention it's not a problem but forget to concentrate and you miss it.
