Hello All,

I am working on a project involving some laser cut walnut. I am making a custom comb for a barber friend of mine, and I would like to know if anyone has experience in applying a dark wax to protect the wood.

If anyone could suggest a brand, or technique id love to hear from you.

Many Thanks in advance.

i wouldnt use bees wax- it will bef=come sticky very quickly with handling.

Probably a microcrystalline wax would be best, but as far as I know, they are colourless.

I'd also soak in a Hardwax oil and wipe surplus off before letting it polymerize.
