Anybody seen this in an offcut of Oak

Recently found a chunk of Oak the ends were all split so I took the ends off when I spotted this

Based off zero knowledge I'd be careful of inclusions further into the wood.

It's clearly not gone to plan if that were the case...

I'm guessing it could possibly be a branch that has been subsumed into the tree as it has grown and just become part of the main trunk.
