More chance to play even though the rain has finally eased.
This one is in laburnum. Danish oil finish. About 5" diameter.

Looking like good work, not easy to keep those corners. Try and aim for an even thickness on the square part, it will make the side on profile look more attractive.

Very nice but are you sure that's laburnum?

The laburnum I used has both heart & sapwood,

Thanks for comments, yes it was definitely laburnum, very narrow sap wood that mostly got removed.
 
nice work there.
this type of work i never found easy.
Tricky to sand the square face?
