Purchased a new battery charger and chargeable batteries last week and the friendly retailer said he could recharge ordinary batteries with it around three times?

Whats your view?

scientifically impossible IIRC from my school chemistry days. But always somebody that claims that it works.

i've got a battery charger that does regular alkaline batteries too.......

it doesn't recharge them more refresh them.........it only works if there is still some charge in the cells.

it's not bad but not much good for heavy use items like camera flashes...good for the kids toys though

I have one of those - it checks to see if the battery is salvageable before attempting the charge.
It works but they don't seem to hold a charge that long and they have a tendency to leak?
